Wednesday Bible at 10:00 a.m. lead by Pastor William Hazard.
Every Thursday evening, St. Timothy Lutheran Church holds a Bible Study. Using the Daily Discipleship materials, we examine the Gospel lesson for the upcoming Sunday. We utilize a video study from the Learning Company on various topics, such as the history of the Scriptures and stories of various Christian Church leaders. Multiple translations of the Scriptures are used in the discussions. All are welcome for the one hour discussions and examinations of the Scriptures and how they relate to today’s world.
THURSDAY EVENINGS ARE CURRENTLY ON TEMPORARY HIATUS.
Confirmation is a three-year program (grades 6-8) preparing youth to affirm their Baptism. Students are engaged in community building activities and exercises with Wes as well as classroom and active learning with Pastor Will. Their experience concludes in 9th grade with a discernment process, including gift discovery and commitment to further involvement in ministry within and outside the congregation. Confirmation is celebrated on Reformation Sunday in the fall for 9th graders. For more information contact Matthew Hughes.
The Social Concerns Board supports the community in conjunction with LSS Community Care Centers (LSS-CCC), formerly known as Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSS-SC) through monetary donations, toys, food and clothing assistance.
The Book of Faith Bible Conversation invites us to become more fluent in the first language of faith and scripture in order that we might live into our calling as a people renewed, enlivened, and empowered by the Word. The group meets weekly each Sunday morning after worship. Join us to know, hear, share and be rooted in the Scripture.
ARK (Alternative Rejoicing for Kids) is an exciting worship opportunity for children who attend St. Timothy’s Sunday Worship Service. ARK is our version of Sunday School where we share and learn about Jesus.
